Public Participation Plan
Public involvement is one of the cornerstones of transportation planning. At the Jacksonville Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (JUMPO), our goal is to inform, involve, and engage with people about transportation needs, challenges, and most importantly – solutions.
The MPO’s public participation process must also adhere to the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Title VI and Environmental Justice, LEP
The JUMPO continues to take strides to inform and engage underserved communities. The Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects people from discrimination based on race, color, or national origin in programs receiving federal financial assistance.

JUMPO Title VI Statement and Notice of Non-Discrimination:
It is the policy of the Jacksonville Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (JUMPO), as a federal-aid recipient, to ensure that no person shall, on the ground of race, color, national origin, Limited English Proficiency, sex, age, or disability, (and low-income, where applicable) be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any of our programs and activities, as provided by the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Executive Orders 12898 and 13166, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and other pertinent nondiscrimination authorities.
If you feel you have been subject to discrimination, you may file a complaint. Allegations of discrimination should be promptly reported to our Title VI Coordinator.
