Welcome to JUMPO
The Jacksonville Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (JUMPO) is the regional transportation planning organization serving the Jacksonville metropolitan area of NC. Our planning area includes the City of Jacksonville, Onslow County, the Town of Richlands, Town of Swansboro, Town of Holly Ridge, and Town of North Topsail Beach. JUMPO consists of representatives from each of these urban areas and municipalities, as well as the North Carolina Department of Transportation, and area military bases.
The City of Jacksonville is designated as the lead planning agency for JUMPO in facilitating regional and cooperative planning processes that serve as the basis for the expenditure of all federal transportation funds for improving our area transportation network including: streets, highways, bridges, public transit, bicycle and pedestrian networks.

One COmmunity Trail OPEN House event April 29 from 4PM-6PM
We will be holding our 2nd Open House event to present and update you on the progress of the One Community Trail. Citizens, business owners, and neighborhood organizations, all are welcome!
This event will be held on Monday, April 29 from 4pm-6pm in the Jacksonville Station Lobby at 1300 N Marine Blvd, Jacksonville, NC 28540
One Community Trail feasibility study aims to:

- Make it safer to walk or bike along Jacksonville’s major streets
- Connect vulnerable communities to opportunities, including education, recreation, and healthcare
- Give the people of Jacksonville more choices about how they travel between destinations

TCC Meeting, May 9, 2024
The JUMPO Technical Coordination Committee (TCC) is scheduled to meet on May 9, 2024 at 3:30PM in the Onslow Room at Jacksonville Station, 1300 N Marine Blvd, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
